| Salvete! (Hello)
I am delighted to be teaching Latin 1 & 2 this year for MISD. I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a B.A. in French and minor in Classical Studies. This is my third year in MISD.
We were a military family with the Air Force for many years. So, I have had the opportunity to travel and live in many great states across the U.S. including: Georgia, Texas, Arkansas, Alaska, and Colorado. Now I am happy to have a permanent home in the great state of Texas.
This past summer, 2009, I traveled to France and Italy with several students and parents from MISD. We visited Paris, Milan, Florence, San Gimignano, Siena, Rome, Pompei, and the island of Capri. It was very educational and amazing. I plan on taking another tour during the summer of 2011. I will begin taking applicants in February of 2010.
I have three terrific children. We enjoy spending time outdoors and also love hanging out at home, playing board games, watching movies, or visiting friends.
I hope you enjoy our Latin class. It's going to be a fantastic year!
